Pastor Chuck Copps and his wife Betsy are part of the core
eam that God blessed with the vision for Lakeside Christian
Ministries. Chuck, a native of nearby Oswego, NY, has lived
and worked in the area his entire life. Chuck and Betsy
met in high school, dated throughout college, and married

shortly after. Betsy is a lifelong Fultonian.

Chuck spent many years working in retail sales, until his
addiction to alcohol destroyed his business, emptied his
bank accounts and nearly cost him his family. Through God's
mercy, Chuck and Betsy turned to Christ in the midst
of tragedy and found the strength to rebuild their relationship
and their lives, climb out of debt, and learn to live
in honesty and trust.

In the years that followed, Chuck felt a calling to serve God
as a pastor. He studied online at Rockbridge Seminary and
earned his Master's of Divinity Degree in late 2014.

Both Chuck and Betsy have many years of experience doing "church stuff": they have taught Bible study groups, prayer groups, as well as men's and women's groups. Betsy is a musician and leads worship music. Chuck shares messages from the Bible at worship services and church gatherings.

They have two grown children, Kenny and Auger.

Chuck resigned his position as facilities painter at Le Moyne College in September of 2016 to give him more time to devote to the ministry. He enjoys following professional sports, especially baseball and hockey. He is active in Alcoholics Anonymous.

Betsy is the Senior Director of Operations at Oswego County Opportunities. She serves on the Vision Network of Oswego County. She enjoys crafting, writing songs, reading, gardening, sewing, and trying out new recipes.
